The US brig Niagara is a reconstruction of the US Navy warship that won the Battle of Lake Erie in the war of 1812. The reconstruction incorporates a small number of timbers recovered from the original Niagara, which was scuttled in Lake Erie shortly after the War of 1812. Niagara is a USCG certified sailing school vessel, available for both scheduled educational day sails as well as two to four-week sail training programs. Please visit the website below to check sailing schedule and availability. Niagara is available to tour as part of the Erie Maritime Museum admission when she is in port. Niagara may be in port but unavailable at other times due to scheduled maintenance.
