Ships

Nothing personifieds the concept of maritime history better than the ship. Preservationists have saved or built thousands of watercraft you can visit today as you travel. To keep things manageable, Fyddeye includes medium-sized to large vessels. Tall ships are mostly two or more masts; warships are primarily capital ships, such as destroyers, battleships, submarines, and aircraft carriers; workboats such as steamboats and tugboats have powerful engines. But there's lots of exceptions, such as the Vietnam-era patrol boats. Many of these vessels take passengers out on trips, while most are static displays on water or land. You can visit nearly all of them; many incorporate a maritime museum.
