Bauer Diving History Research Library

The Bauer Diving History Research Library is the repository of the Bauer Library Collection, which consists of approximately 2500 volumes. It is one of the most comprehensive collections of rare books relative to the story of undersea exploration and was amassed by the Bauers over a span of four decades. The library is housed in the History of Diving Museum.

Boston Marine Society Collection and Library

Great Lakes Marine Collection

Herman T. Pott National Inland Waterways Library

Inland Rivers Library

New Bedford Whaling Museum Research Library

The New Bedford Whaling Museum includes the world's largest: library of whaling logbooks, prints, journals; collection of scrimshaw, Japanese whaling art and literature outside of Japan, and Dutch Old Master marine paintings in the New World. The museum's complete coverage of 19th and 20th century whaling technology makes it a global center for scholarly research.

Nicholson Whaling Collection

The Nicholson Whaling Collection at Providence Public Library is now the second largest whaling logbook collection in America. The library also has a large collection of ship models.

Peachman Lake Erie Shipwreck Research Center
