Established in 1823, the current St. Augustine Lighthouse was constructed in 1874 and automated in 1955. Still an active aid to navigation, the lighthouse is now part of a major museum. The Fresnel lens is still installed in the lighthouse. Children must be a minimum of 44 inches tall to climb the tower.
